Registration Application (Non-Travel Award)

ALL REGISTRATION APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY OCTOBER 4, 2023 at 11:59 P.M. E.T.

Registration Application Information

The Conference is designed for and by researchers, and will showcase and advance the latest science in preventing firearm-related harms.

Due to physical space limitations, we are asking each potential attendee to submit a brief registration application for review. Priority acceptance will be given to researchers either working in the field of firearm injury prevention or with interest in the topic. We encourage early career researchers, students, trainees, and established researchers from all fields including public health, criminology, medicine, sociology, psychology, social work, nursing, engineering, economics, public policy, education, and more to apply. A limited number of registrations will also be reserved for government officials, representatives from community-based organizations, non-research-based practitioners, and philanthropic groups engaged in supporting research on firearm injury prevention.

Registration ONLY Applications may be submitted by anyone wishing to attend the conference who is not also seeking a travel award.

After you submit a Registration ONLY Application, you will receive an email notification (within three weeks) that your registration status has been:

  • provisionally accepted

  • placed on a waiting list due to space constraints

  • denied

Upon provisional approval, you will be provided with a link to reserve your hotel room at the conference hotel and a link to pay for registration (which must be paid within 72 hours). If you cannot pay in the requested amount of time and are in need of an extension, please email: firearmresearchsociety@gmail.com

Your registration will not be completed until you have paid the registration fee (see cost chart below).
